As shown in the video, you will need 2 balls of the border yarn. For example, I use a 41 peg loom in the video, but only use 40 of those pegs. Since we are doing a panel that goes back and forth, you can use any amount of pegs from the loom you are using. The pattern can be done using any even number of pegs. ![]() I filmed this last year before I had practice at filming videos and got a little wordy, BUT I highly suggest you watch the whole intro which will give you all the details on the pattern and setting up your loom and adjustments on how to change the border size or blanket size for any size loom. In full disclosure, the first 8 minutes of the video are slightly boring because I tell you how to set up your loom. Yes, you can loom knit a blanket using a different color for the border without having to add it after you finished the body of the blanket AND with nice clean sides and edges – no carrying yarn through the whole back or tons of cut yarn. ![]()
